Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports that K. Itagaki, Teppo-cho, Yamagata, has discovered an apparent supernova of R = 17.8 on ten or more frames obtained around Sept. 17.50 UT using 0.60-m reflector f/5.7 + unfiltered CCD. The new object is located at R.A. = 20h32m54s.19, Decl. = +9o55'42".7 (equinox 2000.0), which is 59".1 east and 6".5 north of the nucleus of NGC 6928. Itagaki confirmed the presence of the object at R = 17.6 on Sept. 18.65. It was not present to limiting mag 18.5 on his images from Sept. 12, Sept. 8, June 15 and 2002 July 30. It is also absent from the Digitized Sky Survey. NOTE: These 'Central Bureau Electronic Telegrams' are intended to be preliminary announcements of items that later appear in the formal IAU Circulars.
