Higgins, Ngunnawal, Canberra, Australia; L. Kornos and J. Vilagi, Modra Observatory; D. Pray, Greene, RI; G. Masi, Universita degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata"; and F. Mallia, Campo Catino, Italy, report that observations obtained during Nov. 2-12 show that the minor planet (5477) is a binary system with an orbital period of 24.42 +/- 0.02 hr. The primary rotates with a period of 2.9943 +/- 0.0002 hr, and its lightcurve amplitude of 0.11 mag indicates a nearly spherical shape. Mutual eclipse/occultations events that are 0.14-0.22 mag deep indicate a secondary-to-primary mean-diameter ratio of 0.37 +/- 0.02. Follow-up observations in the next lunation are desirable.
