Tigner report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.3) on an unfiltered CCD frame taken with the Puckett Observatory 0.35-m automated supernova patrol telescope (cf. IAUC 8630) in Ellijay, GA, on Nov. 26.39 UT (and confirmed at mag 17.2 by Puckett on frames taken on Nov. 27.00 with a 0.60-m reflector). The new object is located at R.A. = 10h14m26s.09, Decl. = +77o49'19".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".1 west and 6".2 north of the center of NGC 3197. SN 2005kx was not present on images taken by Puckett on Nov. 1 and four other nights back to 2004 (limiting mag about 20.0).
