Armstrong, Rolvenden, U.K., reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 15.0) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Jan. 21.024 and 21.738 UT with a 0.35-m reflector. SN 2006N is located at R.A. = 6h08m31s.24, Decl. = +64o43'25".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 0".4 east and 0".1 north of the center of MCG +11-8-12. Nothing was visible at this position on his image taken on 2004 Aug. 26 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Palomar Sky Survey images from 1996 (limiting red mag 20.8) and 1993 (limiting blue mag 22.5).
