Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.6) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Apr. 5.148 and 7.151 UT with a 0.35-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 20h30m41s.90, Decl. = +9o11'40".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 12".1 west and 14".3 north of the center of UGC 11578. L. A. G. Monard, Pretoria, South Africa, confirmed 2006bo at mag about 17.1 on an unfiltered CCD image taken on Apr. 7.137 with a 0.30-m Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector, giving position end figures 41s.95, 40".8. Nothing is visible at this location on Boles' images from 2005 Oct. 9 and Nov. 28 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitized Sky Survey plates from 1990 Aug. 20 (limiting red mag 20.5) and 1998 June 15 (limiting blue mag 21.0).
