Jacques, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, reports the discovery by C. Colesanti, E. Pimentel, T. Napoleao, and himself of an apparent supernova (mag 16.0) on an unfiltered CCD image taken on May 27.10 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 12h52m40s.93, Decl. = -39o01'48".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is 24".4 east and 7".7 south of the center of ESO 323-G25. A confirming image taken on May 27.89 shows 2006co at mag 15.9. Nothing is visible at this location on a CCD image taken on May 4.06 (limiting mag 18.5) or on a red Digitized Sky Survey image from 1994.
