SUPERNOVA 2006eb NEAR UGC 771
     Further to IAUC 8622, R. Quimby, University of Texas, reports the
discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 17.5) in unfiltered CCD
images taken on July 22.41 and 24.41 UT using the 0.45-m ROTSE-IIIb
telescope at the McDonald Observatory.  SN 2006eb is located at R.A. =
1h13m41s.10, Decl. = -00o06'06".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 10".5 west
and 3".8 north of the center of UGC 771 (catalogued redshift of z =
0.017 from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey).  SN 2006eb was found by
subtracting a co-addition of images taken between 2005 Aug. 22 and Dec.
3 (limiting mag about 19.0) from the 2006 July images.
