SUPERNOVA 2006mq IN ESO 494-G26
     Further to IAUC 8770, N. Lee and W. Li report the LOSS
discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images
taken on Oct. 22.56 (at mag 12.7) and Nov. 5.50 UT (mag 13.2).
SN 2006mq is located at R.A. = 8h06m12s.39, Decl. = -27o33'45".4
(equinox 2000.0), which is 16".6 east and 124".3 south of the
center of ESO 494-G26.  A KAIT image taken on Feb. 24.12 showed
nothing at this position (limiting mag 19.0).
