V. Filippenko, and R. J. Foley, University of California, Berkeley, report that CCD spectra (range 340-1040 nm), obtained on Jan. 21 UT with the 3-m Shane telescope at Lick Observatory, show that 2007G (CBET 804) and 2007L (CBET 814) are type-II supernovae. Both have blue continua and hydrogen Balmer lines with P-Cyg profiles, although the emission component of H-alpha greatly dominates over the absorption component. Removing the recession velocities of 8880 km/s (found from narrow emission lines) and 5395 km/s (Stoughton et al. 2002, A.J. 123, 485), the ejecta expansion velocities (measured from the minimum in the blueshifted H-beta absorption) are found to be 6500 and 8300 km/s for SNe 2007G and 2007L, respectively.
