Li report the LOSS discovery of a supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Jan. 14.47 (at mag 19.2) and 15.51 UT (mag 19.3). The new object is located at R.A. = 12h04m34s.17, Decl. = +20o11'30".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is 23".2 east and 47".7 south of NGC 4076. A KAIT image taken on 2006 Dec. 24.51 also showed 2007M at mag 18.6, while a KAIT image taken on 2006 May 12.19 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag 19.5). A. V. Filippenko, R. J. Foley, and J. M. Silverman, University of California, Berkeley, report that inspection of a CCD spectrum (range 440-900 nm), obtained on Jan. 22 UT with the Keck II 10-m telescope (+ DEIMOS), reveals that 2007M is a type-Ia supernova, roughly 2 months past maximum brightness.
