Electronic Telegram No. 892 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION M.S. 18, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, MA 02138, U.S.A. Sullivan, University of Toronto; and P. E. Nugent, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, report that a spectrogram (range 360-950 nm) of 2007ao (CBET 883), obtained on Mar. 17.5 UT with the Keck I 10-m telescope (+ LRIS), shows it to be a subluminous type-Ia supernova approximately 2 weeks past peak brightness. The spectrum is similar to those of SNe 1991bg and 1999by at similar epochs (Filippenko et al. 1992, A.J. 104, 1543; Garnavich et al. 2004, Ap.J. 613, 1120).
