Electronic Telegram No. 920 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION M.S. 18, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, MA 02138, U.S.A. D. Serduke, and R. J. Foley, University of California, Berkeley, report that CCD spectra (range 340-1040 nm), obtained on Apr. 10 UT with the 3-m Shane telescope at Lick Observatory, show that 2007be (CBET 917) is a type-II supernova -- probably of the type-II-plateau subclass. Prominent hydrogen Balmer, Fe II, and other lines having P-Cyg profiles are visible. Removing the host-galaxy recession velocity of 3752 km/s (Falco et al. 1999, PASP 111, 438), the minimum of the H-alpha absorption component is blueshifted by 5600 km/s.
