Kiss, University of Sydney; and K. Sarneczky, University of Szeged, report that optical spectra (0.05 nm/pixel; ranges 400-500 and 580-680 nm) were obtained of N Vul 2007 (cf. IAUC 8861, 8862) on Aug. 18.55 UT with the Siding Spring 2.3-m telescope (+ DBS CCD spectrograph). The spectrum is dominated by strong and flat-topped hydrogen Balmer lines with FWZI approximately 4000-4500 km/s and FWHM approximately 3000 km/s. Similar line profiles are seen in the He I lines at 587.6 and 667.8 nm and the Fe II (27, 28) doublet at 417.8 and 423.3 nm. The strong Na I D absorption lines suggest high interstellar extinction. Additional CCD magnitude estimates (cf. CBET 1035): Aug. 13.86 UT, V = 8.29 +/- 0.02 (G. Bianciardi, University of Siena, remotely using a telescope near Catania, Sicily); 14.872, B = 10.04 +/- 0.04 (X. Puig, Sabadell, Spain); 14.881, R = 8.73 +/- 0.07 (Puig); 14.95, V = 9.77 +/- 0.02 (Bianciardi); 15.849, V = 10.07 +/- 0.02 (Bianciardi); 16.111, R = 9.31 +/- 0.06 (E. Forne, L'Ampolla, Spain); 16.124, V = 9.96 +/- 0.06 (Forne); 16.149, B = 11.26 +/- 0.07 (Forne); 16.168, I = 9.04 +/- 0.23 (Forne); 16.839, V = 9.99 +/- 0.02 (Bianciardi); 17.846, V = 10.14 +/- 0.02 (Bianciardi); 18.816, V = 10.1 +/- 0.02 (Bianciardi); 19.894, V = 8.43 +/- 0.02 (Bianciardi). Visual magnitude estimates by T. Scarmato, Calabria, Italy (cf. CBET 1035): Aug. 15.870 UT, 10.1; 16.804, 9.8.
