Monard, Pretoria, South Africa, reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 17.1 +/- 0.3) on images taken on Sept. 13.71 and 17.70 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 13h59m58s.70, Decl. = -37o52'30".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 11" east and 39" south of the nucleus of the type-Sc galaxy ESO 325-43. Nothing is visible at this position on an image of the Digitized Sky Survey (limiting red mag 20.5) or on an image taken by Monard on 2007 Sept. 1.73 (limiting red mag 18.5).
