Russell, University of Notre Dame, report that they obtained a spectrum of 2007iv (cf. CBET 1070) with the Kitt Peak 4-m Mayall telescope (+ MARS spectrograph) on Sept. 18.2 UT. The spectrum shows a broad P-Cyg profile of H-alpha and He I 587.5-nm, suggesting that this is a type-II supernova. Narrow emission lines from the host provide a redshift of 0.045.
