Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports the discovery by K. Itagaki (Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan) of an apparent supernova (mag 17.4) on numerous unfiltered CCD frames (limiting mag 19.5) taken around Oct. 2.60 UT using a 0.60-m f/5.7 reflector. A confirming image taken by Itagaki on Oct. 3.45 shows 2007kj at mag 17.3. The new object is located at R.A. = 0h01m19s.58 +/- 0s.01, Decl. = +13o06'30".6 +/- 0".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is 6" west and 10" south of the center of NGC 7803. Nothing is visible on Itagaki's numerous earlier frames prior to and including 2007 Aug. 25 and Sept. 20.61 (limiting mag 19.0) or on the Digitized Sky Survey.
