Benetti, M. Turatto, and E. Cappellaro, Osservatorio Astronomico di Padova and INAF; M. Dennefeld, Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris; and C. Adami, Observatoire de Haute-Provence (OHP), report that a spectrum of 2007sa (cf. CBET 1161), obtained on Dec. 12.14 UT with the OHP 1.93-m telescope (+ CARELEC; range 390-720 nm, resolution 0.6 nm), shows it to be a type-Ia supernova one month after maximum light. Adopting a recession velocity of 1522 km/s (SDSS data release 2, via NED), the expansion velocity, derived from the by-this-time-faint Si II line (635.5 nm), is about 9000 km/s. An interstellar Na I D absorption line (EW about 0.18 nm) is detected in the parent-galaxy restframe, suggesting an E(B-V) reddening of about 0.27 mag [Turatto et al. 2003, *From Twilight to Highlight: The Physics of Supernovae* (Berlin: Springer), p. 200].
