Winslow, W. Li, and A. V. Filippenko report the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Jan. 17.56 (at mag 17.8) and 18.57 UT (mag 18.0). An image taken on 2007 Dec. 23.57 also showed a hint of the new object (under poor conditions). SN 2008N is located at R.A. = 12h19m55s.78, Decl. = +5o20'21".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".6 west and 14".3 south of the nucleus of NGC 4273. A KAIT image taken on 2007 May 10.18 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag 19.0).
