Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.7) on an unfiltered CCD image taken on Feb. 13.014 UT with a 0.35-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 10h57m39s.97, Decl. = +37o39'41".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 29".7 west and 25".3 north of the center of MCG +06-24-39. Boles measures end figures of 39s.96 and 41".5 from a confirming image acquired by W. Li (University of California at Berkeley) on Feb. 14.484. Nothing is present at this position on Boles' images from 2006 Jan. 10 and Mar. 4 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitized Sky Survey plates from 1998 May 15 (limiting red mag 20.5) and 1996 Mar. 18 (limiting blue mag 21.0).
