Monard, Pretoria, South Africa, reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (magnitude 16.4 +/- 0.2) on unfiltered CCD images taken on May 24.733 UT (and confirmed on May 25.675 at mag 16.0). The new object is located at R.A. = 7h16m38s.75, Decl. = -62o18'52".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is 9" east and 105" north of the core of the galaxy NGC 2369. Nothing is visible at this position in Digitized Sky Survey images (limiting red mag 20.5) or on Monard's image taken on Apr. 24.733 (limiting mag 18.5).
