J. Graham, and R. Williams, California Institute of Technology; E. C. Beshore and S. M. Larson, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, University of Arizona; and E. Christensen, Gemini Observatory, report the discovery of an apparent supernova detected in multiple sequences of unfiltered CCD exposures of the Catalina Sky Survey (CSS) reaching limiting magnitude 20 using the 0.7-m f/1.9 Catalina Schmidt telescope (+ 4000x4000 camera): SN 2008 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Offset 2008cz June 9.26 11 23 10.90 +34 12 51.0 18.1 7".4 E, 16".0 N Additional CSS magnitude for 2008cz: May 8.30 UT, 18.3. This object is not seen in prior Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and Palomar-Quest co-added images to a limiting magnitude of approximately 22.5. The host galaxy (AGC 211492) has z = 0.034 (Dale et al. 1997, A.J. 114, 455; via NED) and SDSS magnitudes g = 16.8, r = 16.4, and i = 16.2.
