LaCluyze, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, on behalf of the CHASE project, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag approximately 14.5) on a luminance- filter image taken on June 13.31 UT with the 0.41-m "PROMPT 2" telescope located at Cerro Tololo. The new object is located at R.A. = 0h14m39s.36 +/- 0".2, Decl. = -7o19'23".5 +/- 0".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is about 78" west and 79" north of the center of the galaxy NGC 50.
