Woodward, University of Minnesota; and K. Vanlandingham and G. J. Schwarz, West Chester University, report on Boller-and-Chivens spectroscopic observations (range 360-900 nm; resolution about 0.28 nm) of V2670 Oph (cf. IAUC 8947, 8949) obtained at the Steward Observatory Bok 2.29-m telescope on June 24.3 UT. The spectra show strong emission from H_alpha (FWHM = 1250 km/s) and H_beta (FWHM = 1290 km/s). Numerous Fe II multiplets (e.g., 27, 38, 42, and 49) dominate the spectra (cf. IAUC 8948), supporting the conclusion of Russell et al. (IAUC 8956) that this is an "Fe II"-type nova. Further, Fe II-multiplet FWHM line widths range from 1050 to 1500 km/s, suggesting that this nova is of the "narrow" subtype. The evolutionary phase is P_fe in the Cerro Tololo nova-classification system (Williams et al. 1994, Ap.J. Suppl. 90, 297; Williams et al. 1991, Ap.J. 376, 721). [O I] emission at 557.7, 630.0, and 636.4 nm is detected with FWHM velocities of 1090, 1070, and 1150 km/s, respectively. P-Cyg profiles no longer appear to be present.
