Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 18.5) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Aug 5.101 and 6.095 UT with a 0.35-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 02h04m36s.27, Decl. = +47o56'10".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 1".2 west and 8".1 south of the center of UGC 1563. Nothing is present at this position on Boles' images from 2007 Nov. 15 and 2008 Jan. 27 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitixed Sky Survey [lates from 1989 Sept.
