Antezana, L. Gonzalez, P. Gonzalez, P. Lopez, S. Silva, G. Folatelli, D. Iturra, R. Cartier, and F. Forster, Universidad de Chile; and D. Reichart, K. Ivarsen, A. Crain, D. Foster, M. Nysewander, and A. LaCluyze, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, on behalf of the CHASE project, report the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered images taken with the 0.41-m 'PROMPT 4' telescope located at Cerro Tololo on Sept. 7.19 (at mag approximately 14.9 +/- 0.1) and 8.17 UT (mag approximately 15.0 +/- 0.1). The new object is located at R.A. = 19h36m44s.84 +/- 0".1, Decl. = -37o33'04".5 +/- 0".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is about 10".3 west and 11".1 north of the center of the galaxy NGC 6805. Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on July 2.14 and 6.36 (limiting mag 18.0).
