Newton, Portal, AZ, U.S.A.; and T. Puckett, Ellijay, GA, U.S.A., report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 16.7) on unfiltered CCD images (limiting mag 19.3) taken with a 0.40-m reflector at Portal on Feb. 13.15 UT in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search. The new object, which was confirmed at mag 16.6 on images (limiting mag 18.6) taken by T. Orff on Feb. 14.09 with a 0.40-m reflector at Portal, is located at R.A. = 5h03m33s.38, Decl. = +6o39'35".7 (equinox 2000.0), which is 2".7 east and 9".4 north of the center of the galaxy UGC 3236. Nothing is visible at this position on images taken by Puckett on Feb. 8 (limiting mag 19.3).
