SUPERNOVA 2009ic IN MCG -01-13-33
     D. K. Sahu, G. C. Anupama, and Uday K. Gurugubelli, Indian Institute
of Astrophysics, Bangalore, confirm that 2009ic is a normal type-Ia
supernova as reported by Friis et al. (CBET 1914).  A low-resolution spectrum
(range 350-900 nm) of 2009ic, taken on Aug. 18.95 UT with the HFOSC mounted
on the 2-m Himalayan Chandra Telescope of the Indian Astronomical Observatory,
matches best with that of SN 2002bo about forty-five days after maximum light.
