Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports that SN 2009ig (cf. CBET 1918) has brightened to magnitude 14.0 on Sept. 20.646 UT, when Yoshiteru Matsuura (Nada-ku, Kobe, Japan) obtained two unfiltered CCD images with a 0.23-m f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector, finding the position of 2009ig to be R.A. = 2h38m11s.61, Decl. = -1d18'44".8 (equinox 2000.0).
