The new object, which was confirmed at mag 15.3 on ten frames taken on Nov. 24.814 (limiting mag 19.8), is located at R.A. = 10h51m14s.58 +/- 0s.01, Decl. = +5d50'58".8 +/- 0".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is 3" east and 35" north of the center of the galaxy NGC 3423. Nothing is visible at this position on their past frames taken on 2008 Jan. 7.762 (limiting mag 19.3) and 16.740 (limiting mag 20.1) or on the Digitized Sky Survey (red and infrared plates).
