Electronic Telegram No. 2196 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION CBAT Director: Daniel W. E. Milisavljevic and R. Fesen, Dartmouth College, report that a low-dispersion optical spectrum (range 430-790 nm) of 2010ag (cf. CBET 2195) was obtained with the 2.4-m Hiltner telescope (+ CCDS) at MDM Observatory on Mar. 10.5 UT. Comparison with two suites of template supernova spectra identifies 2010ag as a type-Ia event. The "Supernova Identification" tool (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ., 666, 1024) produces a good match to the 1991T-like supernova 1997br at four days before maximum light. The GELATO online database (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A.Ap. 488, 383) also finds reasonable matches with other peculiar-type-Ia supernovae a few days before maximum light.
