Cox and T. Puckett report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 16.1) on unfiltered CCD images (limiting mag 19.6) taken with a 0.60-m reflector at Ellijay, GA, U.S.A., on Mar. 27.05 UT in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search. The new object, which was confirmed at mag 16.0 on images (limiting mag 18.9) taken by T. Orff on Mar. 28.11 with a 0.60-m reflector at Ellijay, is located at R.A. = 7h17m43s.21, Decl. = +23o21'03".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 31".8 east and 19".4 south of the center of NGC 2357. Nothing is visible at this position on images taken by Puckett on 2009 Dec. 27 (limiting mag 19.3).
