Electronic Telegram No. 2340 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION CBAT Director: Daniel W. E. Green; Room 209; Dept. of Earth and Planetary Sciences; Harvard University; 20 Oxford St.; Cambridge, MA 02138; U.S.A. e-mail: cbat@iau.org; cbatiau@eps.harvard.edu URL http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/iau/cbat.html SUPERNOVA 2010eu Denis Vida, Valpovo, Croatia, reports the discovery by the La Sagra Sky Survey (LSSS) supernova search team (Filip Novoselnik, Denis Vida, Ivica Skokic, Robert Gregic, David Gostinski, Salvador Sanchez, Jaime Nomen, Reiner Stoss, Bill Yeung, Juan Rodriguez, and Miguel Hurtado) of an apparent supernova (mag 18.7) on three CCD images (limiting magnitude about 20.0) taken on June 20.112, 20.125, and 20.138 UT with a 45-cm telescope in the course of the LSSS. The new object is located at R.A. = 21h31m36s.16, Decl. = +12d28'51".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is 7".4 south and 5".8 east of the nucleus of the apparent host galaxy (which has position end figures 35s.8, 58".5). Nothing is visible at this position on a Digitized Sky Survey image from 1987 Sept. 26 (limiting red mag 22) or on a Sloan Digital Sky Survey image from 2000 Sept. 27 (limiting infrared mag 22.3). R. Stoss writes that 96 stacked 90-s CCD images taken with the 40-cm f/10 reflector at the Observatorio de La Sagra in bright moonlight on June 27.07 yields mag 18.8 and position end figures 36s.17, 50".5 for 2010eu.
