Electronic Telegram No. 2356 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION CBAT Director: Daniel W. E. H. Marion, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA), on behalf of the CfA Supernova Group, reports on spectroscopic observations that were obtained of 2010ew and 2010fx by M. Calkins on July 7 UT with the F. L. Whipple Observatory 1.5-m telescope (+ FAST; range 360-760 nm). Classifications were made by cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024). SN 2010ew (cf. CBET 2345) is a normal type-Ia supernova about five days after maximum brightness, and 2010fx (cf. CBET 2352) is a type-IIP supernova several days post maximum.
