Yusa, Osaki, Miyagi, Japan, reports his discovery of an apparent nova (mag 16.6) in M33 on twelve 90-s unfiltered CCD frames (limiting mag 18.5) taken around Dec. 17.421 UT using a 30-m f/7 Cassegrain telescope (+ SBIG STL-1001E camera). The new object is located at R.A. = 1h34m17s.98 +/- 0s.03, Decl. = +30d43'58'.3 +/- 0".3 (equinox 2000.0; star catalogue UCAC-3), which is 350" east and 261" north of the center of the galaxy M33. Additional unfiltered CCD magnitudes by Yusa for M33N 2010-12a: 1991 Oct. 6, [20 (Digitized Sky Survey); 2010 Dec. 8.425, [18.5; 10.448, [18.5; 18.48, 17.5.
