SUPERNOVA 2003kx IN UGC 4078
     Further to IAUC 8252, M. Armstrong reports his discovery
of an apparent supernova (mag 16.8) on unfiltered CCD images
taken on Dec. 8.068 and 9.075 UT.  The new object is located at
R.A. = 8h04m12s.35, Decl. = +84o38'27".3 (equinox 2000.0), which
is approximately 18" west and 1.7" south of the center of UGC 4078.
Nothing was visible on Armstrong's images from Oct. 17 and Nov. 6
(limiting mag 19) or on Palomar Sky Survey red and blue plates.
