SUPERNOVA 2005kg IN MCG -04-50-7
     R. J. Foley, University of California at Berkeley; and A.
Clocchiatti, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, report
that inspection of CCD spectra (range 570-990 nm), obtained on
Nov. 20.04 UT with the Clay 6.5-m telescope (+ LDSS-3) at Las
Campanas Observatory, shows that SN 2005kg (CBET 292) is of
type Ia near maximum brightness.
