Ponticello and W. Li report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 15.4) on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Mar. 24.51 and 27.45 UT. SN 2006be is located at R.A. = 15h45m39s.00, Decl. = +28o05'19".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is 6".2 west and 0".5 south of the nucleus of IC 4582. A KAIT image taken on Feb. 22.53 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 19.0).
