Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports the discovery by Koichi Itagaki (Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan) of an apparent supernova (mag 16.5) on numerous unfiltered CCD frames taken around May 9.765 UT (limiting mag 18.5) using a 0.60-m f/5.7 reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 23h47m06s.12 +/- 0s.02, Decl. = +29o28'50".6 +/- 0".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is 17" east and 10" south of the center of NGC 7753. Nothing was visible at this location on Itagaki's survey frames from 2005 Aug. 30 and Nov. 10 (limiting mag 19.0). Itagaki confirmed 2006ch at mag 16.6 on a frame taken on May 11.764, and again on May 14.752 at mag 16.8. SN 2006A (cf. IAUC 8656) appeared on the other side of the galaxy center, but no spectroscopic information has been reported on that object.
