Puckett and R. Gagliano report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.7) on an image taken with a 0.60-m reflector at Ellijay, GA, on Sept. 17.15 UT in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search. The new object is located at R.A. = 22h45m41s.13, Decl. = +73o09'47".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 13".9 east and 3".6 north of the center of UGC 12182. SN 2006fp was confirmed at mag 17.6 by J. Grcevich (via the request of J. Storr and G. Brissenden) with the 2.4-m Hiltner telescope at MDM Observatory on an image taken on Sept. 18.27. Nothing is visible at this location on images taken by Puckett on 2005 July 14 (limiting mag 19.6).
