Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports the discovery by K. Itagaki (Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan) of an apparent supernova (mag 16.7) on multiple unfiltered CCD frames taken around Jan. 5.38 UT with a 0.60-m f/5.7 reflector; a confirming unfiltered image taken by Itagaki with a 0.30-m f/7.8 reflector at Tochigi on Jan. 7.395 shows 2007B at mag 16.4. The new object is located at R.A. = 22h35m31s.10 +/- 0s.01, Decl. = +34o48'06".6 +/- 0".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 7" west and 6" south of the center of NGC 7315. Nothing is visible at this location on the Digitized Sky Survey or on many past frames taken by Itagaki (limiting magnitude 19.0), most recently on 2006 Dec. 25.41.
