Lee and W. Li (Jan. 15, LOSS/KAIT; cf. IAUC 8794) and from J. Newton and T. Puckett (on an image taken with a 0.40-m reflector on Jan. 16 at Portal, AZ, in the course of the Puckett Observatory Supernova Search). Li provides the following KAIT position for 2007J: R.A. = 2h18m51s.70, Decl. = +33o43'43".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".4 east and 15".3 north of the center of UGC 1778. Puckett provides position end figures 51s.71, 43".3. Available magnitudes: 2006 Dec. 6.22 UT, [19.5 (KAIT); 18, [19.9 (Puckett); 2007 Jan. 15.21, 18.2; 16.14, 17.3; 17.16, 17.3 (Puckett).
