Madison and W. Li report the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Oct. 26.56 (at mag 18.0) and 15.54 UT (mag 18.3). The new object is located at R.A. = 9h27m11s.58, Decl. = -11o38'17".7 (equinox 2000.0), which is 14".0 west and 18".9 north of the nucleus of NGC 2889. A KAIT image taken on Apr. 21.11 showed nothing at this location (limiting mag 19.1).
