Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.7) on unfiltered CCD images taken on May 24.064 and 25.056 UT with a 0.35-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 23h59m14s.42, Decl. = +46o52'36".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 14".9 west and 44".3 south of the center of IC 1525. Nothing is present at this position on Boles' images from 2007 Dec. 13 and 2008 July 30 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitized Sky Survey plates from 1990 Aug. 21 (limiting red mag 20.5) and 1989 Sept. 28 (limiting blue mag 21.0).
