Conuel, Wesleyan University; and D. Reichart, K. Ivarsen, J. Haislip, A. Crain, D. Foster, M. Nysewander, and A. LaCluyze, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, on behalf of the CHASE project, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag approximately 17.8) on unfiltered images taken on Nov. 17.13 and 18.04 UT with the 0.41-m 'PROMPT 3' telescope located at Cerro Tololo. The new object is located at R.A. = 1h57m08s.66 +/- 0".1, Decl. = +4o05'07".3 +/- 0".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is about 2".6 west and 8".6 north of the center of the apparent host galaxy. Nothing is visible at this position in a stack of thirty-one 40-s images taken between June 17.42 and Oct. 12.22 (limiting mag 20.0).
