A. G. Monard, Pretoria, South Africa, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (magnitude 16.7 +/- 0.2) on four unfiltered CCD images taken on Feb. 7.075 UT at the Bronberg Observatory. The new object, which was confirmed at mag 16.6 on images taken by Monard on Feb. 7.878, is located at R.A. = 11h56m48s.07, Decl. = -38d11'11".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 18" east and 22" north of the core of the Sc-type galaxy PGC 37549 (= ESO 320-35). Nothing is visible at this position in red Digitized Sky Survey images down to mag 20.5, on Monard's previous image of this galaxy taken on 2009 Dec. 16.068 (limiting mag 18.7), or on his earlier images. J. Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia, reports a confirmation of 2010W at mag 17.4 on eight co-added 600-s images (limiting magnitude 20) taken remotely with a 32-cm reflector (+ STL6K camera) at the Macedon Ranges Observatory, near Melbourne, Australia, on Feb. 8.65; he has posted his image of 2010W at website URL http://www.flickr.com/photos/43846774@N02/4338884018/.
