Rich, Hampden, ME, U.S.A., reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 16.7) on unfiltered CCD frames taken with a 0.41-m reflector on Feb. 7.07 UT, with a confirming image obtained on Feb. 8.09 by P. Burke, Pittsfield, ME, U.S.A., with a 0.31-m reflector that shows 2010X at mag about 16.6. The new object is located at R.A. = 4h48m27s.90, Decl. = +73o28'14".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is about 4".4 east and 6".0 north of the center of NGC 1573A. Nothing is visible at this location on a CCD frame taken by Rich on 2009 Dec. 13.10 (limiting mag about 18.8) or on Palomar Digital Sky Survey images from 1996 Dec. 7 (limiting red mag about 20.5) and 1995 Nov. 22 (limiting blue mag about 21.0).
