Electronic Telegram No. 2241 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION CBAT Director: Daniel W. E. Duszanowicz, Akersberga, Sweden, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.2) on unfiltered CCD images obtained on Apr. 14.03 (limiting mag 19.0) and 14.82 UT (limiting mag 18.6) with a 0.32-m f/3.1 reflector (+ Starlight Xpress MX716 CCD camera). The new object is located at R.A. = 16h46m55s.41, Decl. = +34o09'35".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 17" west and 15" north of the center of UGC 10547. Nothing is visible at this position on an image taken by himself on Apr. 1.99 (limiting mag 18.3) or on a Palomar Sky Survey image (via the Digitized Sky Survey) taken on 1954 May 27 (limiting red mag 20-21). An independent discovery of 2010bq was made by E. Briggs, J. Newton, and T. Puckett on an image taken with a 0.4-m reflector at Portal, AZ, U.S.A., on Apr. 14.39 UT; the magnitude was given as 18, and the position end figures as 55s.36, 35".8. Nothing was visible at this position on frames taken by Puckett on Apr. 4 (limiting mag 19.4).
