Jenniskens, SETI Institute and NASA Ames Research Center; and F. Colas, Institute of Celestial Mechanics and Computation of Ephemerides at Paris Observatory, report that on 2023 Feb. 15 at 15h47m UTC, a 95g meteorite was recovered near St. Pierre le Viger in Normandy, France, by a research team comprised of participants in the Fireball Recovery and Interplanetary Observation Network (FRIPON) and in FRIPON/Vigie-Ciel (cf. website URLs https://www.fripon.org/meteorites-found-after-observation-of-asteroid-2023cx1- fireball-above-normandy-france/ and https://www.vigie-ciel.org/2023/02/15/une- meteorite-normande-issue-de-2023-cx1-retrouvee/). FRIPON/Vigie-Ciel is a citizen science project overseen by the Museum of Natural History, the Observatory of Paris, Paris-Saclay University, and the OSU Institute Pytheas of Aix-Marseille University. This meteorite is a fragment of the asteroidal object 2023 CX_1, which entered the earth's atmosphere on 2023 Feb. 13 at 2h59m UTC (cf. CBET 5221). Since this first recovery, just over 20 meteorites have been found with masses in the range 2 to 350 g.
