PERIODIC COMET VAISALA 1 (1939 IV; 1949h)
     A telegram from Sternback, Praha, announces that
Mrkos, Skalnate Pleso, has rediscovered periodic Comet
Vaisala 1 in the following position:

  Dec. 19   4h 1m3    14 49 47.7  - 8 12 15    17

     Object diffuse without central condensation,
            nothing reported about tail.
     Plate presumably measured by Sternberk.

     Correction to the ephemeris given in Circ. 1228: -1m1,
+5' (corresponding to a change in T of Delta-T = about +0.9 days).
