PERIODIC COMET AREND-RIGAUX
The following prediction, by B. G. Marsden, was derived by
applying perturbations by Mercury to Pluto to the predicted elements
for the 1971 return (IAUC 2248):

The magnitude, calculated from m2 = 15.5 + 5 log Delta + 5 log r +
0.03 (phase angle), refers to the nuclear brightness. The total
magnitude m1 could possibly reach 12-13 during November-December.
